Friday, July 3
The Midwest’s largest Independence Day celebration returns to downtown Columbus with live music, food vendors, family activities, and a massive fireworks show over the Scioto River. Fireworks begin around 10 p.m. and the event draws hundreds of thousands of attendees each year.

Doo Dah Parade & Party
Saturday, July 4
Party: 11 a.m.–7 p.m.
Parade: 1 p.m.
One of Columbus’ most beloved traditions, the Doo Dah Parade celebrates “Liberty and Lunacy” with satire, costumes, marching groups, live music, and a community party in Goodale Park. It’s free to attend and one of the most uniquely Columbus experiences you’ll find.

America 250 Central Ohio Picnic
Saturday, July 4
6 p.m.–10 p.m.
Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with a family-friendly picnic featuring food trucks, beverages, entertainment, and community activities in the heart of downtown.
